What We Are

Bawburgh pupils at work

The Bawburgh School & Nursery is a rural school with a full roll of 105 and a healthy waiting list. Our actual catchment area is small and therefore 80% of the children come from a radius of up to 15 miles.

We have 4 classes of mixed ability children: each mix is based on ability & not age.

Children transfer to a range of secondary schools depending on their need. We have transferred children to Notre Dame, Hethersett Old Hall, Dereham Northgate High and Dereham Neatherd, Framingham Earl, Costessey High and a variety of smaller private schools.

The Headteacher and Chair of Governors run a private Nursery which links very closely with the School. A private Kitchen, run under the auspices of the Governing Body, provides healthy meals using locally sourced produce .

The School has a reputation for SEN provision & takes the equality of Personal & Professional Development of all people, adult or pupil alike, very seriously.

The School uses ‘Best Value’ for providing resources in all areas. Students/staff & pupils alike have excellent resources to support their work.
